A campaign against the agricultural communities founded in the Crimea by the Chalutzim, pioneers who plan to go to Palestine, has been started in the Soviet press.
An attempt to freeze the Chalutzim out of the colonies is being made by Communists who have joined the colonies. In Tel Chai, one of the leading Chalutzim colonies in the Crimea, strife developed between the Communists and the Chalutzim when one of the Communist members was excluded. The Communist members then declared a hunger strike, the Soviet press reports.
POLAND TO GET $60,000,000 LOAN
A loan of $60,000,000 to the government of Poland and a credit to the same amount to the Bank of Poland will be granted, with the participation of American bankers, reports which reached Wall Street yesterday stated.
According to reports, negotiations which had previously been broken off, have been resumed and it is likely that they will be brought to a conclusion during the week.
The governmental loan is expected to be made by the Bankers Trust Company and Blair amp; Co., Inc. It is expected that the credit will be furnished by the Bank of England, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the Reichsbank of Germany.
