Rabbi Jacob Levinson, leader of the Mizrachi in the United States, arrived here yesterday. He was met by Chief Rabbi A. J. Kook, a representative of the Zionist Executive and others.
The six internes of Kings County Hospital, against whom the three Jewish internes withdrew their charges of hazing upon receipt of an expression of regret will not be automatically restored to duty.
When Drs. Hyman U. Solovay Louis Borow and Edwin Katzkee caused the arrest of their colleagues they were suspended automatically under the regulation which relieves civil employes from duty pending disposition of criminal charges.
The Committee on Internes of the hospital met at the staff house to consider whether the physicians should be returned to duty.
After the meeting it was announced that the committee had decided to take no action toward lifting the suspension. Dr. Russell Rome, who presided in the absence of Dr. Cameron Duncan, said that the committee felt the matter should be left alone pending the Mayor’s investigation.
