541 Jews Are Elected Councillors in Poland

The results of the municipal elections in seven districts of Poland, constituting about half of the country are already available today.

The Polish Hight parties obtained 496 ## and the Jewish middle class parties, 402. This figure includes 276 seats for the national bloc. ## for the separate Zionist lists, 55 for the Orthodox, 12 for the Democrass and 40 for the Artisans.

The Polish Social Democra##c Party obtained 371 seats.

The Jewish Socialists total 115, incinding 43 of the Left and Right Po## Zion. The Jewish Socialist party Bund obtained 72 seats.

Sixty-eight towns elected 1597 counciliors. This number includes ##40 Jews or more than one-third of the total.
