Albert Landauer, vice-president of the Munich Jewish community, died in Krumbach, the own of his birth.
Mr. Landaner had been a member of the Executive Board of the Jewish Community of Munich since 1890. In 1913 he was elected treasurer and in 1926 to his post of vice-chairman. an recognition of his great services to the community he was appointed honorary member on the occasion of his seventy-fifth birthday in 1924.
Albert Landauer was known for his many philanthropic activities. He directed his efforts particularly to the fields of orphan care, homes for girls, homes for aged men and an association for providing dowries for Jewish girls.
