Warsaw Municipal Council Grants Subsidy of 260,000 Zlotys to Jewish Schools

A subsidy, the first ever allocated by the City Council for Jewish schools, was granted to-day.

The City Council allocated the sum of 260,000 Zlotys for the Jewish schools. The sum was divided as follows: 40,000 Zlotys for the Yiddishist schools, 20,000 for the Talmud Torah, 16.000 for the Kehillsh schools, 27,000 for the Tarbuth (Hebrew) schools and 13,000 for the Orthodox schools. The sum of 144,000 Zlotys was allocated for the Jewish technical artisans’ schools.
