The percentage of Jews in the Red Army is lower than that in the army of the former Russian Czar, according to official statistics of the Jewish Scientific Institute made public here.

The percentage of Jews in the Red Army is 2.17, while under the Czarist regime the percentage was 4.7, the figures show.
