Convention of Palestine Labor Welcomes Jewish Colonization in Russia

The Palestine Labour Convention which was concluded a few days ago at Tel-Aviv adopted resolutions against the arrests of workers in Palestine and their deportation from the country. Other resolutions adopted by the convention demand free immigration, extension of agricultural colonization, labor legislation, proper representation of Jews in the Palestine-Transjordan Frontier Force, labour representation on the Jewish Agency and a more democratic form of election to the Palestine municipal councils including votes for women.

Other resolutions adopted by the Convention great the people of Russia on the tenth anniversary of the Revolution, protest against the Red Terror in Soviet Russia, demand the release of all Socialists imprisoned in the Soviet prisons, and greet all Zionists and Hebraists in Russia.

The Convention further welcomes the Jewish colonization work in Russia.

A message of greeting has been sent by the Convention to British Labour, urging it to assist the workers in the British colonies and mandated territories in their fight for liberation and to help the Jewish workers in the establishment of a free and economically sound Jewish society in Palestine.

Other resolutions deal with the danger of war, demand freedom for China, unrestricted immigration to all countries and the release of Sacco and Vanzetti. Greetings have also been expressed to all who are fighting fascism.

The convention welcomed the Palestine Communities Ordinance.
