Mexico Bars Immigration from Poland, Report Says

New restrictions against immigration to Mexico from Poland. Turkey and Syria are being enforced by the Mexican port authorities at Vera Craz.

It was announced that the director of the Mexican Immigration Bureau has informed all steamship companies that beginning September 1, no immigrant from Poland. Turkey or Syria will be admitted unless he can show that he possesses 10,000 pesos (about $5,000).

No official confirmation of this report could be obtained.
