Jewish Soldiers Absent from German Memorial Exercises in Berlin

The former Jewish soldiers in the German imperial army during the World War will not be represented at the unveiling of the memorial to the Tannenberg battle which will take place Sunday.

The committee which was in charge of the arrangements for the exercises invited the representatatives of the Protestant, Catholic and Jewish religions to deliver addresses, Due, however, to Jews other ## to the American Christian Fund of in the course of the ## of the United Jewish Ca### to for ##################.“The #### of mutual service and sympathy that has been general in this way by the voluntary cooperation of Christians in a Jewish task has made for a closer beeing among Jewish and Christeus both in this country and abruad. The American Christian Fund, and all the3se who through that organization or imlependently participated in this great humanitarian effort, have renderd a service nor nearly in terms of money but of good-will and active fellowship, which by far tramscands the value of the immediate mareral gift and has carried the suirit of brotherhood throughout the length and breadth of this country and of the world.”

Outlining the work done by the American Christian Fund the Amos Society and local committee of Christians, for the East European Jewish relief Mr. Brown said in his statement.

“The greliminary imperus toward the creation of the American Christian Fund, was I believe, an appeal issued early in May 1926, by the Christian members of the Ames Society, an organization devoted according to its charter to the propagation of the lefty humanitarian decrimes of the Hebrew ## from ####################################.“With the active sponsorship of 75 other Christian leaders all oustanding personalities, in various fields of religious, social and civic endeavor, there was launched in the Fall of 1925 the American Christian Fund for Jewish Reiled to supplement the $25,000,000 United Jewish Campaign.
