Rabbi Leon S. Lang was called as associate rabbi to Rabbi Charles I. Hoffman, of Congregation Oheb Sholom of this city.
Rabbi Lang was previously instructor in the Teachers’ Institute of the Jewish Theological Seminary. He holds a degree from this Seminary and from Columbia University. He was engaged for a short time as Director of the United Synagogue, in the Midwest, and held the pulpit in Temple Israel, Nyack, N.Y.
The third annual convention of the Zionist Order of Habonim, which was held at the Mount Royal Hotel, Montreal Sunday, pedged active co-operation with the Zionist Organization of Canada for the coming year.
The morning session was opened by Rabbi Julius Berger, Supreme Host.
Mr. R. A. Darwin, Charman of the Jewish National Fund in Canada, was one of the principal speakers at the session.
