The cornerstone for the new Jacksonville Jewish Center building, was laid last Sunday afternoon.

Lionel D. Joel, vice-president of the Jewish Center, acted as chairman of the meeting.

The cornerstone was laid by Harry Finkelstein, president of the center.

The center will be erected in two units, at a total cost of $250,000. The first unit, for which the cornerstone was laid Sunday, will be ready for occupancy on November 1 and will cost $125,000. Work on the second unit will begin in the near future.
