A campaign for the building fund of the new Jehoash People’s School was conducted here.

The site for the school has been purchased. The institution planned will include class rooms, and an auditorium.

Dave Slover is chairman of the campaign.

The Young Men’s Hebrew Association of Brooklyn dedicated its new home at Nos. 339-341 Eighth Street. Sunday night.

The structure formerly housed a church and Masonic club. Plans for the remodeling of it were prepared by Mortimer E. Freehof, and the committee was composed of Milton H. Ansorge, Harry M. Lewis, Louis Gold, James J. Brooke. Hugo H. Piesen, Bern hard Natt, Milton Hertz and Ralph K. Jacobs.

The building has club rooms, reading rooms, a billiard room, a locker room, showers, and a gymnasium.

Harry G. Anderson, President, presided at the dedication exercises. Justice Stephen Callaghan, Justice Mitchell May. Judge Grover M. Moskowitz, Harry L. Gluckman, executive director of the Jewish Welfare Board addressed the gathering. Rabbi Samuel J. Levinson of Temple Beth Emith of Flatbush delivered the Invocation: Rabbi Israel Goldfarb, of Congregaton Baith Israel Anshel Emes, pronounced the benediction.

Dr. Adele S. Jaffa, wife of Professor Emeritus M. E. Jaffa, has been named assistant in mental testing at the University of California Rockefeller Institute of Child Welfare.

Dr. Jaffa was a former lecturer in nutrition at the University of California. Since leaving the university, she has devoted her time to the study of psychology and other educational subjects.
