The influence of the Communist party among the Jewish settlers in the Crimean and Ukrainian colonies is very weak, according to a report submitted to a conference of the Jewish sections of the Communist party which opened its sessions here yesterday.
Fifty delegates representing Jewish workers in the colonies were present. M. Kipper, secretary of the Jewish Section of the Communist Party in the Ukraine, complained that the Communist party has only 400 members and that the Komsomol, the Communist youth organization, has only 3,000 members among the Jewish agricultural population.
