Julius Rosenwald Extends Welcome To Conference; Report of Dr. Bernard Kahn, European Director of J. D. C, Read at Opening Session (Jewish Daily Bulletin)

Three hundred delegates assembled tonight in the auditorium of the New Standard Club as the Constructive Relief Conference of the Joint Distribution Committee and the United Jewish Campaign was opened by James N. Rosenberg, vice-chairman of the Joint Distribution Committee.

A message of welcome was extended the conference by Julius Rosenwald.

The report of Dr. Bernard Kahn, European Director of the Joint Distribution Committee, presented by Joseph C. Hyman, executive secretary of the United Jewish Campaign, occupied the center of interest for the delegates at the first session. Paul Baerwald, treasurer of the J. D. C. and Mary I. Berger, national secretary of the United Jewish Campaign, presented the status of collections and the disbursements for relief abroad.
