Asserts Hungarian Government Prohibits Publication of True Reports (Jewish Telegraphic Agency)
The Jewish population in Hungary is the most persecuted minority in Europe, declares the “Arbeiter Zeitung” today in an article treating of the present situation in Hungary.
The paper declares that not only do the Jews in Hungary suffer from the numerus clausus but also from a general economic persecution, accompanied periodically by systematic expulsions of persons who have lived in the country for decades. Simultaneously, the Hungarian government prohibits the publication of reports to this effect. It is a most deplorable condition in which the Jewish population in Hungary finds itself, the paper declares.
