Justice, though belated, was accorded Solomon Israel, a Roumanian Jew who was sentenced in 1925 to serve a term of fifteen years imprisonment. The sentence was handed down on the basis of charges brought against him that he organized an armed robber band. His release was ordered by the High Court after his innocence was established.
