The Prime Minister, M. Vintila Bratianu, speaking at a conference of Deputies of the Government Party, dwelt at length on the bad impression which was being created everywhere as a result of the repeated student disturbances. He urged the Deputies to work among the students in order to influence them to abandon their destructive activities and to devote themselves to their University-work in an orderly manner.

A demand for the dismissal of Professor Cuza, Professor Cetunianu and others responsible for instigating the student disturbances was made today in Parliament by Deputy Maniu of the Peasants’ Party. “I am afraid.” Deputy Maniu said, “that those who bear the greatest share of the guilt for the disturbances and the damage caused by them will be allowed to go unpunished.”
