College of Jewish Studies to Be Established in Warsaw with Government Aid

A college for higher Jewish studies will be opened in Warsaw soon, Professor Meyer Balaban, Polish Jewish historian, announced yesterday.

The purpose of the college will be to extend the facilities for training modern rabbis and religious teachers for the high schools. Graduates of the college will be given degrees of Doctor of Hebrew Literature and Doctor of Philosophy.

The B’nai Brith lodges in Poland will contribute a part of the budget. A government subsidy for the college has also been assured, it was added.
