Anti-Jewish excesses which broke out at the University of Lemberg, were checked by the intervention of the police.

Polish students attacked a number of Jewish students on the campus, insisting that they remove from their coats the insignia of the student brotherhood. The Jewish students repelled their assailants and a free for all fight developed.
