In your issue of January 30. you report that the Federation of Temple Sisterhoods, in cooperation with the Department of Synagogue and School Extension has resolved to issue the Union prayer book in braille for the benefit of the Jewish adult blind.
The National Council of Jewish Women his in the press a braille prayer book for the Jewish blind. The number of Jewish blind in this country who could make use of a braille prayer book surely does not warrant the publication of two such volumes. It would be a pity for so much fine and laborious effort to be put into duplicating a prayer book for which the demand is so strictly limited. On the other hand, the Federation of Temple Sisterhodos and the Department of Synagogue and School Extension will fill a real need by carrying out their plans of transcribing into braille other Jewish educational and religious literature.
