The sum of 400,000 marks was voted in the Prussian Government budget for those Jewish communities in Prussia unable to fully support their communal institutions.
This item was passed by a resolution of the main committee of the Prussian Diet. The Deutschnazionale, anti-Semitic group, and the Communists voted against the proposal. The socialist deputies abstained from voting.
While deciding to continue the state, subsidy for those Jewish communities which are weak, the committee declined to vote an additional item of 200,000 Marks for pensions for aged rabbis and support for their families.
