The Government bill which modifies the form of the numerus clausus law but leaves intact the restrictions against Jewish students in the Hungarian universities and colleges was passed today by the House of Representatives by a vote of 139 to 32.
Prior to the vote a group of thirty deputies introduced a motion asking for a roll call. The vote began in an atmosphere of excitement Count Bethlen, Prime Minister was the first on the list to cast his vote for the bill. The chamber was crowded with deputies and visitors.
The last speaker in the debate which lasted nearly two weeks was the Socialist Deputy Peidl.
