19,330 Jews in Bulgaria; One Ninth Are Settled on Land

Accurate figures with regard to the number of Jews in Bulgaria were made available as a result of a census.

The figures show that there are in Bulgaria 4,627 Jewish families, numbering 19,330 persons. Nine percent of the total Jewish population is occupied in agricultural pursuits.
