Leaves $250,000 for Museum of American Indian and $70,000 for Jewish Charity

Bequests of $250,000 for the Museum of the American Indian in New York City and $70,000 for seven Jewish organizations were included in the will of the late Harmon W. Hendricks, filed for probate yesterday.

The will, disposing of an estate of more than $500,000, includes the public bequests of $320,000. The remainder is distributed among relatives and employees.

Mr. Hendricks, who died on March 31. was a trustee and vice-president of the Museum of the American Indian, to which he had made previous gifts.

The bequests of $10,000 each to Jewish organizations included the Mount Sinai Hospital, Jewish Social Service Association, Montefiore Hospital for Chronic Diseases. Hebrew Orphan Asylum Home for Aged and Infirm Hebrews, Hebrew Sheltering Guardian Society, and the Congregation Shearith Israel, New York City.
