A large number of workingmen were arrested yesterday following demonstrations in Haifa and Tel Aviv.

The demonstrations were staged in protest against the deportation of ten Communists, ordered by the government. A clash with the police occurred, when the demonstrations were dispersed.

Moses Kafailov, a workman, will be deported from the country, according to a decision of the authorities. It was found that he had entered the country illegally.
