Kishineff Urges Chief Rabbi Zirelson to Remain

Chief Rabbi Zirelson has received a call to Lublin, Poland. The Board of Jewish Community here has unanimously decided to urge Rabbi Zirelson not to leave Kishineff. A resolution was adopted expressing the community’s appreciation of the Rabbi’s efforts and achievements on behalf of Bessarabian Jewry. A delegation has been appointed to visit him and urge him to remain in Kishineff.

The commencement exercises of Hebrew Union College School for Teachers in New York City will take place on Tuesday, June 12, and not Tuesday, June 6, as reported in the Jewish Daily Bulletin. Ludwig Vogelatein will be one of the speakers, in addition to those alrendy announced. Twenty-five young men and women will recelve certificates of qualification for tenching in religious schools.
