An appeal against the ruling of the Palestine Supreme Court upholding the decision of the Jaffa District Court that the Tel Aviv municipality cannot under the mandate enforce a municipal ordinance for the observance of the Sabbath will be brought to the Privy Council in London.

The Tel Aviv municipality adopted a resolution today to carry the appeal to the highest tribunal in the British Empire.

The city council also adopted a resolution protesting against the flogging of prisoners in Paiestine jails and against the deportation of ten Jewish workers accused of belonging to the Communist party.

The first Jewish city in Palestine will soon have new elections. The present party relations within the city government have shaken the coalition basis.
