Another Soviet Official to Be Tried for Anti-semitism

“I will shoot you like a dog,” declared Petro Gavriliuk, Soviet chairman of the Shepetouka district, while beating and pulling the beard of an aged Jew, Zalman Baron, who had failed to sell government loan bonds among the Jews.

A complaint against Gavriliuk was lodged with the authorities by Baron’s son, who is now serving in the navy. Gavriliuk will be brought to trial for his practices.
