Jewish Arbitration Court Created in Philadelphia

The Jewish Court of Arbitration, an organization with the purpose of settling differences between individuals outside of the legal courts, held its first session last week The court consisted of Judge William M. Lewis, Jacob Ginsburg, and Abraham Berkowitz, an assistant District Attorney.

The court is conducted under the auspices of the Kehillah. The membership of the court will be changed in order to include men who are particularly fitted to judge the merits of the case to be heard. In each case, however, the court is to consist of a Judge, a business man and a lawyer.
