New contracts for the purchase of land in the vicinity of Mount Carmel and Haifa were concluded by the Menorah-Palestine Building Corporation, a New York company, declared Isaac Berman, president of the corporation, who returned yesterday on the Olympic.
Mr. Berman reported that his company will shortly start the construction of model houses on the land owned by the corporation. A forty percent mortgage will be granted to the owners, he stated. Similar work is planned in South Jaffa.
