The Malaria Commission of the League of Nations has selected the Laboratory of the Department of Hygience of the Hebrew University as one of the six laboratories for the study of certain phases of the malaria problem, one of three subjects adopted for international study, the American Advisory Committee of the Hebrew University announced. The Hebrew University was represented at the Malaria Commission’s Conference in Geneva by Dr. I. J. Kligler, head of the Deparment of Hygiene.
The methods of malaria control, as worked out by Dr. Kligler in connection with previous work undertaken in Palestine for the control of the disease, were endorsed by the Conference and the Health Section of the League will publish Dr. Kligler’s monograph on malaria in the near future.
Dr. Kligler is now on leave and will spend part of his time familiarizing himself with the newer developments in Public Health Education at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, Yale and Harvard Universities, the Committee announced.
