The day when all Zionists and Jews interested in the upbuilding of Palestine will recognize that the Mizrachi program, that is the upbuilding of “Israel’s land for Israel in the spirit of Israel’s Torah,” as the only sound policy is not distant. This note of conviction and hope was sounded by Rabbi Meyer Berlin of Jerusalem, leader of the Mizrachi, Orthodox Zionist organization, in his kynote address at the International Mizrachi Conference which opened here Saturday night.

One hundred and forty delegates of whom 17 are rabbis and one-third representatives of youth organizations, attended the session at the Schuctzennaus, which was decorated with the Zionist flags. Senator Jewelewski, in behalf of the Senate of the Free City of Danzig, Councillor Ritter on behalf of the Polish Consulate General, Justizrat Sander in behalf of the Jewish community, Rabbi Segalowitz in behalf of the Danzig rabbinate and Mr. Segal on behalf of the Danzig-Zionist group, welcomed the delegates.

A praesidium was chosen consisting of Deputy H. Farbstein of Warsaw and Gedaliah Bublick of New York, president of the American Mizrachi, Herman Struck, Mr. Federbush and Rabbi Ostrowski were elected vice-chairmen. Principal addresses were delivered by Rabbi Meyer Berlin, Gedaliah Bublick and Rabbi Wolf Gold of Brooklyn.
