Mandate, Minority Questions at League Assembly

Questions pertaining to the protection of minorities and the administration of mandated territories were considered at yesterday’s session of the League of Nations Assembly.

The mandate question was referred by the Assembly to its sixth commission for consideration.

The proposal of the Dutch representative Van Bockland concerning the protection of national minorities was supported by the German Chancellor Mueller. The application of the minorities’ rights in the spirit in whch they were drafted will further the mutual understanding of the nations, he urged in an address delivered Friday afternoon.
