German Government Honors Jewish Social Worker

Mrs. Paula Ollendorf, the well-known Jewish social worker of Breslau, was honored by the Prussian Ministry of Social Welfare with a medal in recognition of her services for the benefit of youth.

In a letter accompanying the decoration, the Minister praised the activities of Mrs. Ollendorf in the field of social service. Mrs. Ollendorf has distinguished herself especially in her work in connection with the founding of a children’s home under the auspies of the Jewish Women’s Association in Breslau.

The Hebrew Union College School for Teachers in New York City will remain in its old quarters in Congregation Emanu-El, Fifth Avenue at 76th Street for the next month or two, and will probably move into its permanent quarters in the new Community Center of Congregation Emanu-El in November.

Registration of students and the opening sessions of the new semester will take place in the vestry of Congregation Emanu-El.

The dates of registration are, for new students, from Monday September 17th to Friday, September 28th; for old students from Monday. September 17 to Friday, October 5.

The opening of the Hebrew Union College School for Teachers this year will mark the commencement of its sixth consecutive year in this city.

The School was organized five years ago by the Hebrew Union College in cooperation with the Association of Reform Rabbis of New York City and vicinity.

Abraham N. Franzblau is principal of the Hebrew Union College School for Teachers. Dr. Samuel Schulman is Chairman of its Joint Governing Committee.
