Jewish transmigrates will be aided to settle on the land by facilities provided by their American relatives, according to a proposal presented by the Icor, American organization for aiding land settlement, approved by the Ozet.
The proposal provides that American relatives supply funds for equipment for Jewish settlers, transmitting the funds through the Icor. The plan is now awaiting the approval of the Comet. the governmental department for land settlement.
Formal opening and presentation of the city’s new swimming pool, donated by Lucius N. Littauer took place yesterday afternoon. The dedication program, presided over by W. Ellison Mills, included a swimming carnival. A parade preceded the program. The city of Gloversville decorated for the event.
