Field Marshall Viscount Allenby will arrive in New York tomorrow on the Majestic. Viscount Allenby, who is accompanied by Lady Allenby, will be the guest of the American Legion at their annual convention at San Antonio, after which they will make a month’s tour of the United States.
Nathan Straus, Rabbi Stephen S. Wise and Judge Julian W. Mack are tendering a luncheon on Thursday, October 4, at the Lawyers Club to Viscount Allenby, conqueror of Palestine.
In addition to the remarks of the hosts and Visount Allenby, the Hon. John W. Davis, former Ambassador to Great Britain, will speak.
JUDEA TO INCREASE CAPITAL TO $5,000,000
The Judea Industrial Corporation of New York which owns and controls the Judea Life Insurance Company of New York, has called a meeting of the stockholders for Wednesday, October 3, for the purpose of voting on a proposition to increase its capital stock.
The present capital of the Judea Industrial Corporation is composed of 40,000 shares at the par value of $25. It is proposed to increase the number of shares by 160,000 so that the total number of shares will be 200,000 representing a par value of $5,000,000.
