Liquor and anti-Semitism drove Jan Haismann, Commandant of the Secret Police of Prague and head of the Propaganda Department of the Czech Ministry of the Interior, to such a frantic state that he came in contact with the law.
A man under the influence of intoxicants was arrested in the Vienna streets for molesting Jewish passersby. He refused medical examination shouting he would not submit to a Jewish doctor. He spent the night in jail, making violent anti-Jewish outcries. In the morning he was identified as Jan Haismann of the Prague Secret Police and head of the Czech propaganda department. His release was immediately ordered.
