A Yiddish lecture announced for today by Zerubabel, labor leader from Poland, was cancelled because of the protests of the G’dud Magginei Ha’sefah, youth organization for the protection of the Hebrew language.

Members of the organization were charged with the responsibility of an attack made several days ago on a group of Yiddishists in Tel Aviv who gathered to celebrate the twentieth anniniversary of the Czernowitz conference at which the claim for the recognition of Yiddish as a Jewish national language was formulated.
