Lord Herbert C. Plumer, former High Commissioner of Palestine, presided at the annual meeting held here of the British School of Archaeology in Jerusalem.

Robert Mond, treasurer of the organization, reported substantial progress and unusual activity of the school. W. Crowfoot, director of excavations, with the assistance of Dr. L. Sukenik. head of the archaeological section of the Hebrew University, carried on archaeological work in the country.

Lord Plumer praised the work of the school which, he stated, has contributed to the prestige of the British administration in Palestine.
