Six Jewish parties are in the throes of a heated campaign for the forthcoming elections to the Vienna Kehillah Council.

The parties seeking to win the sympathies of the Kehillah voters are the Union of Austrian Jews, an anti-nationalistic body; the Zionist bloc, the religious bloc including the Mizrachi; the artisans group including the Poale Zion; another artisans group, anti-nationalistic in character, and the religious group of former Galician residents.
