A resolution expressing the sympathy of the American Federation of Labor for the United Hebrew Trades of New York in the assistance they are rendering to the Central Federation of Jewish Workers in Palestine, the Histadruth, was adopted by the forty-eighth annual convention of the American Federation here yesterday.

The resolution was introduced by delegate A. J. Shipliakoff of the United Leather Workers’ International Union, and read: “Whereas, the Jewish workers in Palestine are organized in a Central Federation known as the Histadruth and whereas, this central body, while participating in the work of building a Jewish homeland in Palestine, is protecting the workers against exploitation by their employers, and whereas, through their pioneer work they have succeeded in raising the standard of living not only of their own members but of the Arabian workers as well, therefore.

“Be it resolved, that the forty-eighth annual convention of the American Federation of Labor expresses its sympathy to the United Hebrew Trades of New York in the assistance they are rendering to the Central Federation of Jewish Workers in Palestine.”

Dedication of the new buildings of the Jewish Hospital of Brooklyn will be held Sunday afternoon, December 2, at the Dr. Leon Lourin Memorial Hall, Brooklyn.
