Eric von Ludendorf was a part owner to the extent of forty per cent in the alchemist scheme sponsored by him and Herr Tausend, which was revealed as a fraud.

This information was confirmed by Attorney Schramm, who is known as the counsel for German monarchist and anti-Semitic organizations. According to Dr. Schramm, Ludendorf and Tausend each had a forty per cent interest in the project, while the large number of those who gave their money, running into millions of marks, held twenty per cent.

Several days ago Ludendorf declared in a public statement that he had never given a single penny toward the alchemist plan. The treasure which was supposed to have resulted from converting base metal into gold was to be employed in the interests of the German monarchist movement.
