The rumor which spread among Polish Zionists that Dr. Bernard Kahn, European director of the Joint Distribution Commitee, has been offered a Palestine post under the enlarged Jewish Agency, was denied by him in an interview with the correspondent of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency here.

His forthcoming trip to Palestine will be of a purely private nature, Dr. Kahn said. He has not received any offer on the part of those interested in the extended Jewish Agency, but, he added, if he were to receive such an offer, he would consider it a high honor, particularly since the reconstruction of Palestine has been dear to him since his youth.

Commenting upon the situation in Poland, Dr. Kahn stated that he found the economic situation of Polish Jewry in an extraordinary depression, but he expressed the hope that the vitality and energy of the Jews in Poland will overcome the difficulties under which they labor.
