To Evict 25,000 Nepmen from Leningrad Homes

Twenty-five thousand persons in Leningrad, who engage in trade, classified as. “Nepmen,” will be evicted from their homes by September 1, 1929 states a report of the Leningrad paper, “Krasnaya Gazetta.”

The Nepmen lived in houses which were nationalized. Their removal was declared necessary to make room for workmen in need of houses.
