Louis B. Mayer, motion picture magnate, with his wife and two daughters, was the guest of President and Mrs. Hoover at a dinner at the White House yesterday. Mr. Mayer has been mentioned as President Hoover’s possible selection for the Ambassadorship to Turkey.
Questioned whether his visit to the White House last night was in connection with his appoinment as Ambassador, Mr. Mayer denied this, stating that it was just a family party.
