A number of Jewish students were injured, some of them seriously, in a row which broke out during a debate last night in the hall of the “Petit Journal.” The police were called out to quell the outbreak and a number of students were arrested.

Trouble started when a number of Communist students interfered with the speakers, including Zalman Shneur, Dr. Leo Motzkin, David Einhorn and Dr. M. Krainin.

Women fainted during the excitement which arose when the police attempted to separate the fighting students. Many of the students resisted the police, and in the struggle the injuries occurred.
