Preparations for Montreal’s United Palestine Appeal campaign, which will be launched at a banquet Sunday night, were made at a luncheon given at the Mt. Royal Hotel in honor of Morris Rothenberg, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the American United Palestine Appeal.
Dr. Herman Abramowitz, Chairman of the Montreal U. P. A., presided. S. W. Jacobs, member of the Federal Parliament, Edgar M. Berliner, Rabbi Harry J. Stern of Temple Emanuel, A. Levin, Honorary Vice-President of the Canadian Zionist Organization, R. A. Darwin, Dominion Chairman of the Jewish National Fund and Baruch Zuckerman were the speakers, besides the guest of honor.
Mr. Rothenberg was also given a reception by the Montreal Hadassah.
