Thousands of Jewish families living in the vicinity of the lower Vistula, are endangered by the flood caused by the rising river.

The Jewish population in nearby towns formed committees to aid in moving the families out of the flooded area. Admiration was expressed by leaders of the general relief committees for the discipline and good organization of the Jewish committees.
