Thousands of Jewish families in various districts of Lithuania are suffering famine and the Kovno Relief Committee has entirely exhausted its funds in an attempt to ameliorate the dire situation, the committee announced issuing an appeal for special emergency relief. Matzoth for the forthcoming Passover holiday is especially needed, the Committee declared.
