Einstein Declines to Reply to Cardinal

Dr. Albert Einstein, speaking through his wife, said Cardinal O’Connell’s assertion that his theories of space and time had behind them the “ghastly apparition of atheism” left him cold and were devoid of interest, states an Associated Press despatch from Berlin.

He said he was wholly disinclined to enter into a controversy with the Cardinal.
